Local tips
- From Florence, take the rapid 131R Autolinee Toscane bus (75 minutes) directly to Piazza Gramsci inside Siena’s historic walls instead of the valley train station.
- Buy the Opa Si Pass for combined entry to Siena Cathedral, the Piccolomini Library, Baptistery, Crypt, and Panorama del Facciatone viewpoint.
- If renting a car for Val d’Orcia, park outside town walls (Parcheggio Il Campo or Santa Caterina escalators in Siena) to avoid automatic ZTL camera fines.
